What is the Goal of the Stewardship Campaign?
As you know, our current facility is not adequate to meet the needs of our growing congregation, current and future ministries, nor is it accessible to everyone. We have committed to build a new one level worship facility at a cost of $1.8 million and which is projected to be complete by Fall 2008. This campaign is about educating the congregation on the importance of stewardship as part of our faith walk. As we all give sacrificially, not only will our financial needs be met but our spiritual growth will be blessed by seeking and doing God's will.
How much are we trying to raise? The financial goal of this campaign is $321,000 to help meet our obligations as we grow in our ability to minister to the needs of our community.
Over what period of time do we plan to raise the $321,000?
Over a three year period: 2008 - 2011
How can I get involved? Members can work on any of the committees to assist in this effort. However, the biggest way to show your commitment is to complete your pledge card for whatever amount God places on your heart to give during this period.
When is the first pledge payment due? Our first step towards our future efforts begins on "Firstfruits" Sunday, February 3, 2008. This will begin our three year giving to the capital stewardship campaign. Pledge amounts will be desgnated on the offering envelopes as "New Building Fund".
Can I give towards my commitment weekly? Monthly? Annually? You may give at whatever interval that works best for you.
